Job Summary
Interview patients, measure vital signs including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and record information on charts. Draw and collect blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations. Perform a variety of tasks as assigned under the direction of designated healthcare providers. Maintain regular and predictable attendance while meeting age-specific needs of the unit. Requires current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA, or NCCT, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 35lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program OR equivalent education/experience
- Current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA or NCCT
- BLS
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Regular and predictable attendance

- High School Diploma or equivalent
