Job Summary

Interview patients, measure vital signs including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and record information on charts. Collect blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations. Assist in minor procedures and perform a variety of assigned tasks while maintaining regular attendance. Lift up to 35 lbs and maintain standing or sitting positions as needed. Report to a supervisor or manager and complete required BLS certification within orientation or 60 days.

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational/technical training program in Nursing
  • State of Idaho Licensed Practice Nurse
  • BLS Required
  • Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during general orientation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Passage of CMA examination given by AAMA, NHA or NCCT required within 3 months from date of hire
  • Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS within 60 days of hire
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
  • Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • CMA or LPN certification
