MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERTIFIED

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant Certified is responsible for placing patients in exam rooms, obtaining history and preliminary exam information, and preparing patients for provider examinations. This role involves charting physician orders, documenting treatment plans, and coordinating discharge instructions and follow-up care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and proficiency in electronic records systems. A background in Orthopedic or Med-Surg MA experience is preferred, along with the demonstration of independence and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must have and maintain a valid Mississippi driver's license
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements necessary to successfully perform required job duties
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- 2 – 3 years MA experience with focus on Orthopedic or Med-Surg preferred
- Proficiency of electronic records systems
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and resolve complex problems
