Job Summary
Medical Assistant at CEP Heart Center Morehead City assists physicians with patient care and clerical tasks, handles appointment scheduling and chart management, and provides information to patients to maximize clinic services. May be assigned to a specific medical specialty (e.g., oncology) to support related patient care. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least 1 year of CMA experience, CMA certification within the first year, and BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or one year of work experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant within the last 3 years
- Has obtained certification and is currently a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or obtains certification within the first year of employment
- Maintains BLS certification
