Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed to assist with passing medications to patients (including controlled meds), document med passes, monitor vital signs, perform fingerstick blood sugars, and provide direct care as delegated. May occasionally serve as Neuro Rehab Specialist (NRS) delivering and documenting individual patient programs per Needs and Services Plans, and training staff and patients on medications. Work site may include clinic, home, or an apartment complex with potential two-story access via stair. Requires High School diploma or GED and MA licensing; some college preferred. Required Qualifications
- High School graduation or GED
- Licensing as Medical Assistant (MA) required
- Experience in rehabilitation, nursing, or related field required
- Training as Medication Aide or Medical Assistant required
- Job Tasks: Passing medication to patients including controlled medications, documenting med passes, g-tube feedings, monitor vital signs, finger-stick blood sugars, apply first aid, may work as Neuro Rehab Specialist (NRS) with patient programs
