Job Summary
Medical Assistant in Garden Grove performs clinical and administrative duties under physicians/advanced practice professionals and the clinic lead. Responsibilities include providing TB skin tests, administration of prescribed medications, drawing blood, vaccinations, arranging patient examinations, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, documenting in the EHR, handling insurance eligibility and copays, scheduling, scanning records, inventory and back-office log maintenance, answering and triaging calls, infection control, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. Requires strong organization, attention to detail, compassionate patient care, and proficiency with PC applications and EHR. Education includes High School Diploma/GED and Medical Assistant Certificate; BLS Certification is required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid CA driver license and dependable transportation are required. In-person clinic environment in Garden Grove, CA.
