Job Summary
Document patient symptoms in EMR, take and record vital signs, administer injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Collect specimens and draw blood, sterilize equipment, and maintain examination rooms. Perform computations and other administrative/operational/customer support assignments while reporting to the Center Administrator. This patient-facing role supports Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, requiring TB screening upon selection. Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- CPR Certified
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina you require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
