Job Summary
Medical Assistant at CenterWell Edinburg will serve as the first point of contact for patient care, handling administrative duties and clinical tasks. Responsibilities include gathering symptoms, inputting data into the EMR, taking vital signs, administering injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens and blood, sterilizing equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and collaborating with physicians and nurses. The role supports direct patient care within an outpatient care site and requires completion of MA training or certification and CPR, with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Medication/vaccine administration experience (preferred)
- 1+ years MA experience (preferred)
- Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience (preferred)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
