Job Summary
Medical Assistant with CMA/RMA certification performing both administrative and patient-care tasks onsite in a CenterWell Senior Primary Care clinic. Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, rooming patients, assisting providers with procedures, specimen collection and point-of-care testing, administering medications under provider direction, and ensuring accurate EHR/EMR documentation including HEDIS/Stars measures. Requires active CMA/RMA certification, high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year MA experience, phlebotomy and CPR, and bilingual English/Spanish. TB screening is part of the role; healthcare team emphasizes comprehensive, patient-centered care in a Baytown, TX clinic with potential to use HireVue for interviews.
Required Qualifications
- Active CMA or RMA certification (AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA)
- Completion of MA school/training OR 5+ years MA experience with provider approval
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of MA experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- CPR certification
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Value-based care knowledge (HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, CAHPS/HOS)
- TB screening requirement
