Job Summary
Medical Assistant serves as the first patient contact, performing both administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities include documenting patient symptoms in EMR, taking vital signs, administering injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens and drawing blood, sterilizing equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and other assigned tasks. Requires completion of an MA school/training program or certification/registration, or 5+ years of experience with provider approval; CPR certification is required. Role is patient-facing and involves TB screening; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with a 40-hour workweek; $1,000 sign-on bonus after 120 days; comprehensive benefits and location: Lutz, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- CPR Certified
- This role is considered patient facing and is part of the TB screening program
