Job Summary
Conduct administrative duties and patient care as the first point of contact, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and running diagnostic screening tests. Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver direct patient care while documenting information into the electronic medical records system and maintaining examination rooms. Interpret area and department policies to prioritize assignments within defined parameters and follow standard procedures that allow for independent discretion. This role is part of the company's Tuberculosis screening program and requires certification or 5+ years of experience. Weekly hours are 40, with a starting pay range of $43,000 to $56,200.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certified
- Required to be screened for TB
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- 1+ years MA experience
- Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
