Job Summary
Medical Assistant, Practice Operations at St. Luke's supports healthcare delivery for the practice. Responsibilities include conducting pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records, completing pre-charting of value-based pieces, preparing patients for examinations (including vitals, updating medications and allergies, and obtaining smoking status/history), assisting with injections/immunizations, maintaining exam rooms and supplies, communicating with the Care Team about patient care and follow-up, disposing of waste per protocol, and participating in quality-improvement initiatives. Requires sitting/standing for extended periods, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and BLS/CPR certification. Education: high school diploma or equivalent; one year of clinical experience or MA program; customer service experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program
- BLS/CPR: Current or within 60 days of hire; through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
