Job Summary
Medical Assistant position performing patient prep, vital signs, injections, wound care, phlebotomy, specimen collection and handling, documentation in electronic medical records, patient scheduling, and education. Role involves preparing exam/treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, administering injections, collecting blood and lab specimens, processing results, coordinating follow-up care, and supporting cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care. Certification in Medical Assistant and BLS are required or preferred as listed; HVAC details not included. In-person work in Abbeville, LA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA)
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience preferred
