Job Summary
Conduct triage, take vital signs, and document patient histories in the EMR system. Collect laboratory specimens, administer medications and injections, and perform clinical procedures such as IV starts and catheter placement. Assist with occupational medicine services including drug screening and pulmonary function testing while ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Operate office medical equipment and oversee quality assurance programs for CLIA waived lab requirements. Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed to support staffing. Full-time 3-day 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with no overnight work.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture
- Proficiency in injections
- Proficiency in clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work holidays
- Willingness to travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required
