Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant in a busy family practice to assist doctors. Responsibilities include verifying patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history; preparing patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature) and reporting patient history summary. May perform basic clinical tasks such as administering medications, phlebotomy, and assisting with physical examinations and patient education. Also handle administrative duties: answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing medical records, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging hospital admission and laboratory services, and handling billing and bookkeeping.
