Job Summary
Medical Assistant / Care Coordinator role (Remote) delivering telehealth-intensive patient intake, onboarding, and care coordination within a virtual preventive/lifestyle medicine clinic. Responsibilities include conducting high-volume telehealth intake (phone/video), coordinating scheduling lifecycle, overseeing lab orders and prescription logistics, maintaining accurate EHR profiles, guiding patients through personalized care plans, proactive outreach to drive care initiation and adherence, resolving barriers (technical, insurance, care hesitancy), and collaborating with clinical, operations, patient-support, and product teams to optimize patient flow. Requires current National Medical Assistant certification and 3+ years in patient-facing, care-coordination, or digital health roles; strong communication, empathy, measurable KPI focus, and proficiency with EHR/CRM, scheduling, telehealth tools. Compensation: $50–$60k annually plus equity, including comprehensive benefits and paid leave.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid National Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- 3+ years in direct patient care, care coordination, digital health, or an allied health/human services field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with empathy
- Track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs (patient engagement, satisfaction, conversion, and retention)
- Ability to manage a high volume of patient interactions efficiently
- A solution-oriented mindset with agility in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency with EHR/CRM platforms, scheduling systems, telehealth software, and remote collaboration tools
