Job Summary
Assist physicians and nurses in patient care by obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, and assisting with phlebotomy and procedures. Escort patients between exam rooms and treatment areas, ensuring chart availability for providers. Maintain patient flow, clean and sterilize equipment, and prepare rooms for the next patient. Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, scheduling treatments, obtaining prescription renewals, and completing patient charges. Stock rooms with supplies and linen, assist patients with ambulation and comfort needs, and train new Medical Assistants.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- Graduate of Medical Assistant program OR 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Excellent communication (both oral and written)
- interpersonal skills

- Basic knowledge of computers
- able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory
