Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Assist in providing patient care to assigned patients while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain full competency in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic location. Graduate of an accredited school, registered apprenticeship program, or Armed Forces medical training with two years of experience, or hold one year of work experience with required clinical skills. Obtain Washington Medical Assistant Certification and National Provider BLS within 30 days of hire. Six months of healthcare and medical assistant experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months - Healthcare experience
- 6 months - Medical Assistant experience
