Job Summary

Perform all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant role, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Maintain full competence in clinical needs for the assigned clinic location while adhering to established policies and regulations. Complete required training within 30 days of hire, including National Provider BLS certification, and possess minimum six months of healthcare experience alongside six months of specific medical assistant experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
  • Has completed 2 years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months Healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
