Job Summary
Medical Assistant II in Cardiology needed to support patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Fully competent in clinical needs for assigned clinic/location, performing duties consistent with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Responsible for assisting with patient care within a cardiology clinic, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, while supporting the team and ensuring compliant, patient-focused service. The role participates in the clinic's operations within Providence Medical Foundation and offers a base pay range with potential shift differentials and bonuses. The position is full-time, on-site, and located in Santa Rosa, CA, within the Providence Cardiovascular group.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or equivalent educ/experience
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes vital signs, injections, and medication administration
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months of healthcare experience
- 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
