Job Summary
As Medical Assistant in Cardiology, you will support clinicians and nursing staff in a busy clinic setting by taking vital signs, documenting measurements and chief complaints, and assisting with exams and minor in-office procedures (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, phlebotomies, EKGs). You’ll coordinate patient care through pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling, communicate test results, and assist with medications under established policies. Additional responsibilities include clerical support for medical records and billing, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment, managing supplies, and fostering effective communication with patients, families, and external providers. The role requires completion of an approved MA program, active MA certification, BLS, and proficient computer and EMR skills.”,
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations
- Active Medical Assistant Certification is required
- BLS certification required
- Requires strong computer skills with medical software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an organized fashion
