Medical Assistant

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will work with an assigned physician daily, escort patients to exam rooms, record medical information, review medications, obtain vital signs, perform stress testing and EKGs, follow up on lab results, assist with appointment scheduling, and handle check-in/out procedures when necessary. Candidates must be certified or registered, possess at least 2-3 years of experience, have computer knowledge, and be familiar with cardiology procedures. Strong multitasking abilities and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Certified or registered Medical Assistant
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to multitask
- Well-spoken, friendly, and outgoing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with an EMR system
- Familiarity with various cardiology-related procedures such as stress tests, managing Coumadin therapy, and Holter monitors
Additional Requirements
- Must voluntarily repay the sign-on bonus if employment is terminated for cause within 6 months
