Job Summary
The Medical Assistant role involves performing patient care activities including taking vitals, patient history, and triaging. Responsibilities also include assisting with procedures such as incision and drainage, administering medications, conducting lab testing, and managing front desk duties. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program, and current BLS certification. Candidates preferred to have at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant and phlebotomy experience. Flexibility to work various shifts is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except in those locations(s) permitted by law for exemption with experience, diploma and/or national certification)
- Current BLS certification, willingness to obtain DOT certification
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Great communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays
