Job Summary
Medical Assistant – Bilingual (Burmese required) at Community-GoHealth Urgent Care. You will support providers, radiologic technologists, and patients in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment from check-in through discharge. Responsibilities include registering patients and verifying insurance, rooming patients, recording medical history and vital signs, performing point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG), assisting during visits, processing co-pays, scheduling follow-ups, maintaining exam rooms and front desk areas, managing medical records and communications, answering phones, and providing Burmese-English language support and care coordination. Requires fluency in Burmese and English and Medical Assistant certification at time of hire. Proficiency with EMR systems and strong patient-service mindset are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Burmese and English (spoken and written) is required
- Medical Assistant certification is REQUIRED at time of hire
- Accepted certifications include: CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA) CMA – Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or CHP) RMA – Registered Medical Assistant (AMT, AAH, or ARMA) NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT) NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) – required at hire
- High school diploma or equivalent required
