Job Summary
Medical Assistant in the Breast Surgery group at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus supports breast care services, including screenings and diagnostic services, rooming patients, chart preparation, patient monitoring, specimen collection, tests and documentation of patient care, as well as administrative duties (filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, patient registration). The role operates 8:00am–4:30pm with no weekends or holidays, located on the 10th floor of Crile Building at CC Main Campus, and emphasizes creating a welcoming environment for patients and families while collaborating with a dedicated team. Qualifications include graduating from an approved Medical Assisting program or military medical training (HM/68W/4N0X1) and basic life support certification; preferred qualifications include Medical Assisting certification and completion of Cleveland Clinic externship.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
- Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within new hire period
