Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Piedmont Urgent Care in Braselton, GA. Responsibilities include patient preparation, triage, vital signs, obtaining patient history, collecting lab specimens, administering medications and injections, starting IVs and placing catheters, performing basic clinical and lab procedures, assisting with Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, audiograms, PFT), ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and handling administrative tasks. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, 1+ year of experience (urgent care/ER a plus), EMR experience (EPIC preferred), and flexibility to work a 12-hour shift with weekends/holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience (urgent care or ER a plus); willing to train new graduates
- Venipuncture and injections proficiency
- EMR software experience; EPIC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented and proactive patient care attitude
