Job Summary
Conduct patient intakes, measure vital signs, perform examinations, and administer routine diagnostic testing while documenting all procedures accurately. Critically listen to patient concerns, report changing conditions to providers, and manage phone messages by returning calls and routing inquiries appropriately. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and utilize CPR skills when necessary under physician supervision. Provide health coaching to defined patient groups and follow up via weekly calls to support healthy lifestyle choices. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and maintain accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education (GED)
- Must be bilingual (insert language need) and able to pass formal proficiency exam as part of the selection process
- A minimum of 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR comparable healthcare vocational training (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.)
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience
- Ability to travel on occasion for company meetings
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months' phlebotomy experience is highly desired
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus
