Job Summary
Dermatology Medical Assistant supporting Bedford and Concord locations with 7a-5p shifts (Bedford: Tue/Thu; Concord: Wed/Fri). Responsibilities include patient rooming, updating patient histories (HPI, medical/surgical/family history, medications, allergies), documenting visit details, and assisting with dermatologic/cosmetic procedures (ED&Cs, shave and punch biopsies, ILK, I&D, Botox, laser treatments, excisions). Administer local anesthesia, remove sutures, maintain sterile technique and infection control, perform scribing (templates and chart notes), process prescription refills and prior authorizations, log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories, operate specialized equipment (Narrowband UVB and photodynamic therapy), maintain liquid nitrogen containers, and keep exam rooms stocked. Responsibilities also include coordinating with physicians, attending reliably, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
