Job Summary
Perform vital signs, patient intake, history taking, clinical orders, procedures, documentation, and patient discharge. Take care of patients in our supportive work environment. Locations include Northampton and South Hadley with standard M-F schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office
- Graduate of an accredited MA program
- Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA)
- Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
- Certified by American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Desired Qualifications
- MAI - demonstrated competencies of MA I (evaluated by hiring manager)
- MAII - demonstrated competencies of MA II (evaluated by hiring manager)
- MAIII - demonstrated competencies of MA III (evaluated by hiring manager)
- MAIV - demonstrated competencies for promotion to MA IV
- Graduate of an accredited MA program with a minimum of 5 years' current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting
- Minimum of two years as an MA II at a Baystate Health with demonstrated competencies of MA III
- Minimum of two years as an MA III at Baystate Health with demonstrated competencies for promotion to MA IV
- Registered/certified by a third-party credential body
