Job Summary
Medical Assistant Bariatrics in Corewell Health's Bariatrics department. Supports outpatient clinics with medical and surgical weight loss options. Assists with patient care including vital signs, chart preparation, managing in-basket messages, medication refills and prior authorizations. Works as part of the clinical support team alongside RNs, APPs, and PSRs to ensure high-quality patient care in a multi-location bariatrics program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
- One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA CMA OR AMT RMA OR NHA CCMA OR NCCT CMA OR NAHP CMA
