Job Summary
Interview patients, document basic medical history, and organize appointment schedules. Update and file medical records, arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services, and check with patients to type up charts. Assist during medical examinations and produce correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms. Handle receivable and payable accounts, maintain financial records, and prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments. This cross-trained role supports daily operations at our Kirkland location, ensuring smooth workflow between clinical and front desk tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Willing to register with Washington state
Desired Qualifications
- Certification from an approved medical assistant program preferred, or equivalent combination of training
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification preferred
