Job Summary
Medical Assistant – Back Office (Part-Time) supports efficient patient flow in the back office, including scrubbing appointments, directing patient movement, scheduling, handling no-show follow-ups, assisting front office as needed, updating health records, obtaining vitals, coordinating specialty referrals, and performing CLIA-waived screenings and injections. Required Qualifications
- MA Certification required
- Injection certification is required or venipuncture/injection/skin test certificate can be part of initial competencies
- Two years of experience or successful completion of a medical assistant externship with Family HealthCare Network
- High school diploma or GED with GPA 2.5 or higher or equivalent health care-related training
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with electronic health record systems and patient documentation
- Ability to perform CLIA waived tests and immunizations
- CPR/First Aid preferred (not explicitly stated but commonly required)
