Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Aviva Health to perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, EKGs, spirometry, respiratory treatments, phlebotomy, injections, wound care, medication administration, and support to physicians; duties include rooming patients, charting, lab work, scheduling, HIPAA compliance, and ensuring safety and quality; requires high school diploma, 1 year clinical experience, ability to obtain national certification within 2 years, and current BLS; training program provided; Monday-Friday schedule; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year experience in Hospital or Clinical setting
- Ability to obtain National Certification within two years of date of hire with Aviva Health
- Current BLS certification (maintaining current certification is required for continued employment)
- Proven leadership experience
- Ability to work independently, detail oriented, organized, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures, patient flow, triage and scheduling
- Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word and writing clearly and concisely
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and deliver upon expectations
- Understanding of basic medical terminology
