Job Summary

Conduct rooming and visit tasks including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health screenings. Perform lab duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection, and CLIA-approved testing while administering medications and vaccines safely. Assist providers with procedures, manage point-of-care testing, and handle administrative responsibilities like scheduling, insurance authorizations, and supply ordering. Maintain a clean environment, ensure equipment is stocked and functional, and demonstrate age-specific care knowledge. Work Mon-Fri 7:45 AM–4:15 PM with a sign-on bonus available.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT
  • 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance
  • Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant
  • 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT) certification
  • American Allied Health (AAH) certification
  • National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA) certification
  • National Health Career Association (NHA) certification
  • (MCMA) certification
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) certification
  • National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA) certification
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification
