Job Summary
Medical Assistant supporting dermatology physicians with patient rooming, updating histories, documenting visit details, and assisting with dermatologic procedures (biopsies, ED&Cs, I&D, Botox, laser treatments, excisions). Performs scribing, handles prescription refills/prior authorizations, coordinates with laboratories, administers local anesthesia, maintains sterile technique and infection control, and operates specialized equipment (Narrowband UVB, photodynamic therapy). Requires High School Diploma or GED and 0–3 years in dermatology; proficient in Microsoft Office; strong attention to detail and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
