Job Summary
Medical Assistant for ENT and Allergy Associates in Astoria. Full-time position supporting clinical operations in a fast-paced ENT/allergy/audiology practice. Responsibilities include welcoming patients in person or by phone, preparing patients for examinations, directing or accompanying them to exam rooms, verifying medical history, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, preparing lab specimens and performing basic in-office lab testing, maintaining sterile instruments, educating patients on medications, documenting examinations and treatments, maintaining inventory and ensuring equipment functionality, and upholding HIPAA/privacy standards. Candidates should have MA program certification (CMA/RMA) or equivalent, with Epic EMR experience preferred and a track record of strong patient service skills. Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or EMT certification or five years of MA experience (as alternative qualifications)
