Job Summary
Greet patients, register them according to established protocols, and assist with completing necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance. Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, collect payments, and obtain external medical reports as required. Maintain a sterile environment while obtaining vitals before, during, and after infusions, drawing labs if needed, and assisting with IV removal. Ensure patient information accuracy, safeguard privacy, and complete assigned clerical duties while maintaining a neat reception area. This role involves cross-training for front and back-office duties within Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C., the largest private Rheumatology practice in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Flexibility
- Dependability
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
- A Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited facility
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Working knowledge of phlebotomy
- IV experience
- General clerical knowledge
