Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides front and back office support in a Primary Care clinic, escorting patients to exam rooms, maintaining exam rooms, handling scheduling and phone duties, and assisting providers with exams and procedures. Duties include taking vital signs, assisting with injections and TB testing, performing venipuncture and CLIA-waived lab tests, assisting with PFT/UDS/EKG, handling office procedures, coordinating insurance authorizations, and providing patient-focused care within HonorHealth's team-based model. Requires MA training completion, HS diploma/GED, and 6 months of MA experience; BLS and a State Fingerprint Clearance Card are required, with MA certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) preferred or provisioned through HonorHealth reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a MA training program
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
- Fingerprint Clearance Card - State - Required
- Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA, CCMA, RMA) - Required
