Job Summary
Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program in the Portland metro area offers a six-month, full-time paid in-clinic training to become a Medical Assistant. Apprentices will complete ~1,000 clinical training hours with in-person clinic time (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm) across Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Yamhill counties, plus 10-15 hours/week of unpaid coursework during the first 20 weeks. The role requires enrollment in the MA Apprenticeship within 60 days of hire, and upon hire, National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association. Preferred qualifications include 6 months of MA experience, 6 months of healthcare/EHR experience, and strong customer service in fast-paced settings. Start date is August 24, 2026, with a commitment to work for Providence for at least two years after graduation.
