Job Summary
Manage clinic calendars to ensure efficient patient appointment scheduling while operating the multi-line switchboard and paging system. Accept and confirm appointments over the telephone, conduct outbound follow-up calls, and document patient complaints for corrective action plans. Update logs of calls and appointments, answer inquiries, and distribute mail. Requires Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent communication skills, and bilingual English/Spanish capability. Must hold a Medical Assistant Certificate, current BLS certification, and valid state identification. Schedule is flexible with potential evening and weekend coverage, including 10% travel outside the local area. OSHA Category 1 exposure to blood and body fluids is present.

- Must be able to travel from facility to facility
- 10% travel outside the local area
- Medical Assistant Certificate or Certified Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) year minimum customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Current BLS Certification
- Valid State Identification
- Commitment to goals and philosophy of Northeast Community Clinic
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions
- Ability to read printed materials
- Ability to communicate in person and over the telephone
- Mobility to work in a standard office/clinic setting
- Ability to use standard office/clinic equipment, including a computer
