Job Summary
Support physicians in examining and treating patients by interviewing individuals, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms. Obtain tests and specimens while performing technical skills such as EKGs, injections, and venipuncture according to established guidelines. Document patient care in charts, maintain confidentiality, and notify team members of abnormal results or emergent situations. Clean exam rooms and supply areas, disposing of contaminated equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Requires a graduate of an approved program and current RMA, CMA, or active RN/LPN licensure. Full-time schedule includes 80 hours bi-weekly, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), through AMT, NCCT, or NHA
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Current, active RN or LPN licensure
- Respiratory Therapists or Technician credential
- EKG
- Injections
- Venipuncture
- Performance of common lab tests according to established CLIA guidelines and TriHealth policy
- 1-2 years experience in a physician office or related setting
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be able to lift <50 lbs
