Job Summary
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, prepare patients for physical exams, and administer prescribed medications and treatments. Draw blood and prepare labs for reference or in-house processing, while performing laboratory tests, quality controls, and equipment maintenance. Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately, respond to lab messages and callbacks, and conduct physician referrals and service pre-certifications as needed. Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain complete documentation. This role supports outpatient clinics within American Family Care's network of primary and urgent care centers, which offer seven-day walk-in services and onsite lab capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
