Job Summary
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam. Explain prescribed procedures and treatments, administer medications, and draw blood for lab processing. Perform laboratory tests, ensure equipment maintenance, and respond to lab messages. Conduct physician referrals, service pre-certifications, and drug screenings while maintaining complete documentation. Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments. This role supports outpatient clinics within American Family Care's network of primary and urgent care centers offering seven-day walk-in services.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience

- AMT registered
- AAMA Certified Medical Assistants
