Job Summary
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam. Explain prescribed procedures and treatments, administer medications and treatments, and draw blood for laboratory processing. Perform laboratory tests, maintain equipment, respond to lab messages, and conduct drug screening procedures. Ensure patient immunizations are documented and administered, conduct physician referrals, and prepare exam rooms while maintaining accurate documentation. Full-time and per diem positions available. American Family Care provides primary and urgent care services seven days a week with onsite lab and x-ray capability.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
- AMT registered
- AAMA Certified Medical Assistants
- CPR Certification
