Job Summary
Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider in an outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include obtaining patient vitals and medical history, preparing patients for exams, explaining prescribed procedures, performing tests and laboratory work, administering medications, drawing blood, handling lab processing and quality controls, immunizations, conducting referrals and pre-certifications as needed, preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, maintaining accurate documentation, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or technical school preferred
- Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, RMA, CMA, or equivalent) through an accredited organization such as the NHA, AAMA, or AMT is preferred
