Medical Assistant

Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. Responsibilities include obtaining patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; preparing the patient for a physical exam; explaining prescribed procedures and treatments; ensuring tests are performed accurately and timely; administering prescribed medications and treatments; drawing blood and preparing labs; performing laboratory tests and quality controls; responding to lab messages and callbacks; conducting drug screening procedures; documenting immunizations; handling physician referrals and pre-certifications as needed; preparing exam rooms and sterilizing instruments; maintaining accurate documentation; and performing other assigned duties.
