Job Summary
Performs patient care under physician's or nurse's direct supervision; assists with vital signs, phlebotomy, ECGs, and collection of specimens; coordinates care and documents in the medical record; maintains exam rooms and supports clerical tasks including filing, insurance forms, and patient flow; adheres to infection control protocols and PPE usage; participates in pre-visit chart preparation and related duties as essential functions of the job.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate OR 1-3 years experience as a medical assistant, emergency medical technician or certified nursing attendant (with valid certificate) OR Successful completion of the Northwell Health Medical Assistant training program
