Medical Assistant - Almara Women's Health | OGI, Maple Grove

Full-time Medical Assistant for Almara Women’s Health in Maple Grove, MN. Core duties include verifying patient information, recording medical history, measuring vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature), obtaining blood specimens via venipuncture and finger sticks, and performing in-house testing (UA, Hemoglobin, 1-hour glucose, 3-hour glucose, ICT stool samples). Assist physicians and physician assistants in exam rooms; provide patient instructions per clinician, and ensure all related reports and labs are filed in patient charts prior to appointments. Maintain exam-room supplies, sterilization, and logs (e.g., refrigerator temps, medication checks). Comply with HIPAA and other regulations; stand/walk frequently and lift 50-100 lbs as needed. Requires MA program graduation and certification (AAMA/AMT) or willingness to become certified; 1+ year clinic MA experience; willingness to obtain limited-scope x-ray license to perform Bone Density scans (preferred). Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm with 1–2 closing shifts per week; a $750 sign-on bonus is offered with a 12-month commitment for internal applicants not eligible.
