Job Summary
Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in Allergy Partners' clinic: assist physicians with examinations and treatments, perform allergy prick/intradermal testing, spirometry and other breathing tests, administer biologic and allergy injections, collect specimens as ordered, manage supplies, document patient assessments and care in EMR, coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations, schedule tests, maintain patient education, and support front-office and administrative tasks while complying with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies. Requires strong teamwork, patient communication, and familiarity with EMR systems; minimum education: high school diploma with CMA/RMA preferred; minimum one year of medical-practice experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- CMA/RMA from an accredited program or ABR-OE preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical practice preferred
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices
- Understanding of medical record documentation standards
- Understanding of medical coding based on the medical record notes to ensure accurate billing
- Knowledge of electronic medical records, practice management and word processing software
- Good communication skills and interaction with physicians
- Neat, professional appearance
