Job Summary
Certified/Non-Certified Medical Assistants provide administrative and clinical support in a fast-paced physician’s practice. Responsibilities include recording patient histories and vital signs, preparing exam rooms, assisting with exams, procedures, injections, suture removal, collecting specimens, scheduling, handling medical records, maintaining sterile exam areas, patient education, and responding to urgent situations. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, organizational skills, proficiency with EHR systems, multitasking, compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality care. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate or AA Degree from a Medical Assistant program required (for CMA)
- Certified Medical Assistant certification (e.g., NCCT or equivalent)
- Current BLS (CPR) required
- For Non-Certified Medical Assistants: High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months patient care or formal training; BLS (CPR) required
- Full competency demonstrated within 30 days of hire
